Henry Verus
Winter 2026, in focus

Six things worth trying. A few simple ways to bring people closer to the songs - and the person making them.

Let’s build on what we’ve already made together. Pick what feels like you; we can keep the setup simple.

Three pillars for the season
01 / Let the song breathe

Where We Are Now

Quiet rooms, window light, lit hallways. Subdued performances and b-roll moments simply existing.

02 / Let us into the story

A little more of you

A thought behind a lyric, a choice you made, an honest answer. Share as much as feels right.

03 / Keep the world going

Another moment in it

Return to a familiar location or detail from our videos. Make something new with what we already have.

Girls Like You — performing in and around your car, railroad tracks, driving.
The Coda — liminal rooms, hallways, arches.
Be a Man — outside in nature. Perhaps a rainy day edition.

Your winter shortlist

01 · Performance

Live Take

Any of the five songs · Solo & Together · 15 min

Set your phone on a tripod with an intentional, clean background. Sing one passage live, in one close, uninterrupted shot. Let the vocal be the first thing we hear.

Vocal performance · COLORS
Borrow the vocal-first framing; use a quiet room and available light.

Why this: a direct way for someone to meet the song through your performance.

The simple setup

Phone on a tripod, intentional clean background, quiet room. Shoot on your own or together. Record three takes; choose the one that feels most present. Add one short lyric caption if it helps.

02 · Story

Behind the Lyric

Any of the five songs · Together · 20 min

Frame a short talking moment like a cut from an interview. Henry explains a lyric with the song playing softly underneath, then we cut to the matching performance in the music video. Keep the full post under 30 seconds.

Why this: connects Henry’s words to the music video, giving a familiar performance a little more context.

The simple setup

At Position studio, choose an intentional, clean background and frame Henry seated, looking slightly off-camera toward the interviewer. Use one camera and a mic for clear dialogue. Capture a natural 5–8 second answer about a lyric. In the edit, play the song softly beneath his voice, then cut to 10–20 seconds of the matching music-video performance.

03 · PerformanceTwo takes

Two Deliveries

Be a Man / Down For You · Solo · 20 min

Film yourself in tight, intimate framing as you perform the same passage twice: a subdued version, then one with more intensity. Keep them as separate options to test on Trial Reels.

Close-up performance · Zach Templar
Borrow the intimate framing and simple solo setup; try two different levels of intensity.

Why this: gives us two distinct performance options to test on Trial Reels and learn which delivery connects.

The simple setup

One phone on a tripod or stable surface, one location. Keep the framing tight and the background intentional. Capture the same passage with a subdued delivery, then a more intense delivery. Keep the audio setup, length, and text consistent across both edits so the performance is the main difference. Test them separately on Trial Reels.

04 · Visual worldOne location

Revisiting The Coda

The Coda · Together · 30 min

A liminal-space performance that feels resonant with the music video. Find an empty corridor, stairwell, or quiet lobby we can easily access. Keep Henry small in the frame and let the space hold the mood.

Framing reference · Library 04
Borrow the relationship between a lone performer and the surrounding space. Our version moves that framing into a liminal setting connected to The Coda.

Why this: revisits the visual feeling of the music video through a new performance, with one location and minimal setup.

The simple setup

One phone or camera on a tripod, existing light, one passage on playback. Choose the location and wardrobe detail together based on the actual video. Capture a wide take, then a closer take.

05 · PerformanceSolo setup

Bedroom Guitar Performance

Down For You · Solo · 15 min

A casual guitar performance filmed at home. Prop your phone up, keep your guitar visible, and play one expressive passage from Down For You.

Bedroom guitar performance · Bella Kay
Borrow the casual home setting, fixed framing, and visible guitar. August 4, 2026 · 121.7K likes observed October 12, 2026.

Why this: brings listeners into a personal performance Henry can record independently.

The simple setup

Phone on a tripod or stable surface, quiet room, available light. Frame your face and guitar together. Record a few live takes of one passage and keep the edit simple.

06 · PerformanceRehearsal moment

Stripped Back

Girls Like You · Together · 30 min

Try a stripped or alternate delivery using the accompaniment you already have. I’ll capture a close performance and one wider take in the same space.

Voice + instrument · Library reference 08
Borrow the focus on voice and accompaniment; one simple frame is enough.

Why this: offers another way into a familiar song, with the feel of being in the room.

The simple setup

A tight shot focused on something striking about Henry—his intense eyes, for instance. Use this as an opportunity to showcase his guitar playing, with close-ups of his hands and performance.
